NEW DILLINGER FRAMES AND FORKS AVAILABLE SHORTLY

Posted By admin / December, 17, 2011 / 0 comments

The new batch of Dillinger frames and forks is complete and will begin shipping to consumers in the next few weeks. As shown above we have returned to a brushed CrMo fork as one of the options instead of just a raw version with clearcoat. Frames will be available in pearl white and brushed raw. If you are interested it is suggested you get on the early notification list by emailing web@ridesoul.com. As of today about 50% of the incoming frame shipment is presold. Also there will be a price increase in the forks to $99, an unfortunate necessity due to increased production costs.

DILLINGER FRAMES/CRMO FORKS/TI FORKS UPDATE

Posted By admin / October, 16, 2011 / 0 comments

We just wanted to provide an update to the questions we receive almost daily.
Q: Where is the new batch of Dillinger frames?
A: A small batch is do in sometime in November. If you are interested in being notified before they hit the site please email us at web@ridesoul.com. We have had an enormous number of changes this year. We have moved buildings, changed fabricators, changed painters, changed heat treat facilities, in addition to a number of other changes. The goal is get the production time to be quicker. Unfortunately working out the kinks of this supply chain for the first production run has been problematic, but after this run we should be able to maintain consistent stock. Also there is a second run already in progress.

Q: What colors will the new frame be available in?
A: This next run will only be available in the pearl white and brushed raw . In the future we plan on bringing back a third color.

Q: Will the CrMo fork be available again, and if so when?
A: The CrMo forks are finished and will be available at the same time as the frame. They will be available in pearl white, brushed raw (not the same raw as the last run/they will be hand brushed first then clearcoated), and gloss black.

Q: When will the Ti Fork be available?
A: The first prototypes of the Ti fork had too much fore and aft flex. We are currently having a new batch built for testing using a thicker wall and slightly larger tubing. These are expected to be ready in late November for CEN testing and after this we will be running some ride testing here in the United States.

TITANIUM 29ER FORK UPDATE

Posted By admin / July, 12, 2011 / 0 comments

We have been testing the titanium 29er forks for a few weeks. Durability looks good, but unfortunately there is too much flex at the lower leg with riders over 170 pounds. Since we don’t like to put restrictions on rider weight we are now working on a new set of prototypes with some changes that should limit this excessive flex.

After a few months of waiting we finally received our prototype titanium 29er forks. The fabrication is spot on and the weight is right where we wanted it at just over a pound. Right now we have them out for testing in the rocky Arizona desert and in Iowa. We will keep you up to date on how the product is evolving.

The frame features 140mm of travel, sealed cartridge bearings at the main pivots, Igus Iglide self lubricating polymer bearings in the support linkage, and 10mm and 12mm Maxle options.
